Altium Acquires Part Analytics

Altium has completed its acquisition of Milwaukee-based Part Analytics. The company’s advanced AI-powered supply chain management platform enables manufacturers to make fast, informed decisions on component planning and sourcing at scale, especially at the enterprise level.

The acquisition enables Altium to bring component and parts management applications to Altium’s efficient cloud-based collaboration platform, Altium 365, and support new customer groups in supply chain and procurement, such as electronics supply chain and category managers. The acquisition also enables strategic synergies with Altium’s enterprise offerings, providing companies with large supply chain and procurement functions with a comprehensive parts catalog across programs, a key component in achieving complete electronics lifecycle management.

“Altium’s acquisition of Part Analytics is another step toward our vision of a fully connected electronics value chain and electronics lifecycle management system for enterprise organizations,” said Aram Mirkazemi, president of Altium. “Part Analytics will play a key role in our transformation in the electronics industry,” he added.

Part Analytics was founded by former supply chain leaders at GE HealthCare and has extensive expertise with enterprise customers and their procurement needs. The company’s robust procurement application is designed specifically for electronics to make supply chains more cost-efficient, resilient and flexible, enabling more effective supply chain management. The integration of Part Analytics capabilities into Altium’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem will add enhanced fulfillment capabilities to its current procurement capabilities and significantly support Altium’s enterprise solutions.

Part Analytics founder and CEO Jitendra Parasagaram said:

“By partnering with Altium, Part Analytics’ electronics supply management platform will become part of a vast, connected electronics manufacturing ecosystem where customers can manage design, sourcing, parts procurement and lifecycle management. They can do it more efficiently on a single platform. While Part Analytics is part of Altium, customers can continue to expect the same great product experience and customer support they’re accustomed to.”

The acquisition of Part Analytics marks another step forward for Altium in its open platform for electronic design and lifecycle management.
