Congatec Expands IoT Development with aReady.IoT Hardware and Software Modules

Congatec, a German embedded computing specialist, has introduced aReady.IoT, a ready-to-use set of hardware and software modules designed to streamline the development of end-to-end Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

Building on its aReady.COM computer-on-module (COM) platform launched last March, aReady.IoT simplifies the process of developing embedded systems using COM modules. By enabling seamless upgrades without the need for a full redesign, it is particularly beneficial for integrating edge AI inference capabilities into IoT networks.

Simplified IoT Development with Preconfigured Modules

The aReady.IoT solution reduces development complexity by offering pre-configured software building blocks that facilitate communication and data exchange across different systems and devices running on COM modules. Congatec delivers these modules in customizable configurations, ready for immediate deployment.

The platform consists of three core modules along with a configuration tool:

• COM Manager – Provides remote system management, software maintenance, and real-time visualization via an intuitive dashboard.
• Application Manager – Extends COM management to connected peripherals and carrier boards, enabling rule-based automation and push notifications for applications.
• Fleet Manager – Enables seamless over-the-air (OTA) updates and ensures efficient configuration rollouts across all installations.

Additionally, Congatec offers a Cloud Connector, allowing secure, bidirectional connectivity to cloud services like AWS, Azure, and Telekom Cloud, available upon request.

No-Code & Low-Code Programming for OEMs

To further simplify IoT data flow configuration, Congatec provides an advanced web interface that supports zero-code and flow-based programming. This allows developers to create IoT solutions without extensive coding knowledge. Beyond traditional IoT and network developers, this functionality is particularly valuable for OEMs looking to enhance their existing equipment with new digital services for additional revenue streams.
